Reviews: The Kitchen Book (2)
“You might never need another cookbook”
(Hardback)
by Irene Olivo
I don't say it lightly when I say you might never need another cookbook considering I love cookbooks and collect them. I first read Ella Risbridger's work in her debut, Midnight Chicken, and remember feeling hypnotized by her writing. It was food and love and poetry and a viewpoint on the world. Her cookbooks are really viewpoints on life from a kitchen, the sort of book you bring to bed for bedtime reading and which you might even want to squeeze on your commute as you can't stop reading them. I've been waiting for years for another cookbook by the author who introduced me to food writing and here it is, full of joy, full of life. The Kitchen Book is going to be my new best pal in the kitchen with recipes so inviting and generous, but also tailored to real life, which I know I'll be cooking over and over. It's always a great week when one of your favourite authors publishes a new book and a good reminder to keep supporting the people who bring magic into our lives with their writing!
“Fabulous”

I loved Midnight Chicken, and I'm pleased to report that Ella Risbridger's latest offering is just as good. She brings all her trademark warmth and charm to this, and her sheer love of food shines through on every page. The recipes are varied and achievable for even the most novice of cooks, and I'd recommend this to everyone who loves good food!
