I didn't know what to expect from this book when I first grabbed it, but I was delightfully surprised. The story is compelling and endearing, and the tone in which it is told is simply hilarious. It had a certain Austenesque quality to it, and it reminded me of 'I Capture the Castle' a lot. This was the first book I've read by E Nesbit, and I must say I became a fan. Can't wait to read more. Strongly recommend.
