Reviews: The Lost Words (11)
“Spectacularly spellbinding”
(Hardback)
by Sarahjanie
A fantastically captivating book. The artwork is spectacular and the wording is spellbinding. This is quite a grown up book in reality which can appeal to all ages. Sprinkled with word art and poetry amid its expansive and absorbing illustrations, it celebrates the natural environment and the magic of finding the words for naming items.
“A magical book in so many ways”
(Hardback)
by Sarah Webb
This is a beautiful and magical book. The 'spells' and the pictures are simply gorgeous. The idea behind it (to encourage the naming of things in nature so that we value them) is heartfelt. And it is physically such a beautiful object. Even if there are no children in your house, you will feel better for having this book in your life!
“Feast for the soul”
(Hardback)
by Rosalind Teesdale-Ives
The most poetically-written, enchantingly-illustrated feast for the soul - an absolute delight as a possession or a true blessing as a gift.
