“She says she is innocent…So why did she run…” A fast paced, heart racing tale, The Missing Widow is a phenomenal read that I couldn’t get enough of! There are not too many books where I am left utterly breathless and with a book hangover after I was done, but this one certainly gave me both! A super intense plot kept me glued to the iPad and the twists and outcome just blew my mind. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers then look no further, this is definitely the book for you!

This is the second book I've read by L. G. Davis. Meet Meghan whose parents died in a car crash; she dropped out of the University of North Carolina and went to live with her gran. Meeting Brett was a turning point for her and they had a baby son - Ashton. Brett's family owns a chain of hotels - the Black Oyster Resort -based in New Haven. Meghan met Brett whilst working as a maid and the couple marry within six months. Ashton is now four and Brett has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. When Brett passes away Meghan finds herself with a need to go on the run with her son. Certainly compelling and exciting, I was really invested in this explosive tale from the off. The tension ramps up as the tale progresses, headed towards a cat-and-mouse chase and there's a plot twist at the end. A great domestic drama-thriller and well worth a look.
