“Cat Royal for grown-ups”

SO good. Lived up to - and exceeded - my memories of loving Golding’s Cat Royal books when I was a teenager. From the ending I assume there will be a sequel and I cannot wait. Kept me guessing all the way up until the end and the romance was believable and hot. Thanks to Harper Collins for the review copy

Loved it! Great story, strong characters, and really well-paced considering how small the book itself is. I loved the twist at the end! I could easily see this becoming a crime/mystery series.

Brilliant. Really enjoyed this one. It for me has the right amount of romance (ie not much), it’s very dark, which is something I do love, fast paced, exciting and so many plot twists. This had me on the edge a lot of the time. I loved the characters - especially Jacob’s ex lover - what a formidable woman. I dare anyone not to love Dora too - not to be underestimated.. Overall, this is an excellent read. You won’t be disappointed! My thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins Publishing for the copy in exchange for an honest review.
“You’ll be on the edge of your seat!!”
(Paperback)

A great read this story is full of intrigue and danger…. Anthony Pennington dies under distressing circumstances, he’s been tortured for information. He has been working for the Hellfire Club at the time, which is a house in a secret location for the rich. His friend Jacob who’s an ex army officer and a doctor, has to inform his sister Dora that Pennington has died. She’s given a letter from her brother, which is coded so only she knows where to go to retrieve something that the murderer wants. They know they are being followed so have to be careful. I found it a really great read. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this story! Knowing there was someone on their tail as they tried to find Anthony’s hidden item, made the tension too much!! Many thanks to HarperCollinsUk for the opportunity to read this arc copy via Netgalley. #Netgalley, #HarperCollinsUk pull, #cat_royal

An exquisite Regency murder mystery with Bridgerton and Da Vinci Code vibes. Loved the MCs Dora and Dr. Jacob Sandys, who team up to solve the killing of Dora's brother. Add in an infamous Hell Fire Club, the ever secret Illuminati, and one of the most gorgeous covers ever, and you've got a brilliant read!
