This is not as well known, but is just as vibrantly colourful and does for the seed/plant story what the very hungry caterpillar does for the caterpillar/butterfly story.The lifecycle of plants is explained in Eric Carle's usual style - all enjoyment of the story rather than obviously educational.Ideal for children a bit older than the very hungry caterpillar, although a child of two can easily enjoy the story through the pictures.Great for children who like nature, or parents who hope their kids will and a good companion book for those sowing seeds with their children.
