Reviews: The Wedding Planner (1)
“Glorious”
(Paperback)
I enjoyed the previous two Whispers Woods books although it’s been a while since I read them so I had forgotten a little. The list of the cast members at the start of the book was a great help in refreshing my memory although the story itself would still have been fine to follow even if you hadn’t read the previous books. The main character in this book is Gloria and she is Eve Devon’s best character yet, her lack of filter on many occasions was hilarious yet there’s a lot of depth to her character too. Offsetting Gloria is Seth, on the surface a flaky character but underneath has a lot more maturity than anyone, except perhaps Gloria, give him credit for. The storyline itself is fairly straightforward, planning for Seth’s brother & Gloria’s boss/friend, but as this is a very character led story it works well. There’s a great balance of serious and humorous and overall this is a very fun & relaxing read.
