Reviews: The White Devil (7)
“Fantastic ghost story / murder mystery hybrid”
(Paperback)
by Rach Dreaming
I'm a huge fan of ghost stories and the this is a cracker. It pullls from a lot of genres, horror, historical, mystery and managed to pull all the threads together. I found the story line very compelling and was up until the early hours of the morning finishing it, once I started reading I really couldn't stop. The author notes that he spent a time at it certainly shows. I really did get a feel for the school and having attended a boarding school myself as a day pupil, I very much recognised the scene. I was disappointed by what I considered to be a rather abrupt ending, and by the out come of the story, but I don't want to give anything away. I would definitely read the author's next book and I would recommend this to any friend who was looking for a good, spooky, read.

I thought The White Devil was an excellent read from start to finish. I loved it, and found that once i had started reading it i found it hard to put down. Would definately recommend. I found the characters likeable and the part ghost story, part murder mystery was excellent. There were a few parts which gave me goosebumps!
“Mystery and Intrigue”
(Paperback)
by Mark Armstrong
A Harrow student's journey through time to save the souls of those here now and of those that have gone before. Full of mystery and intrigue and of love and heartbreak A story to escape into - to a school I wish I'd gone to. (Review by Tanya Armstrong)
“Thrilling and creepy.”
(Hardback)
by Lucy OConnor Walton on Thames
An American student is transferred to Harrow public school and encounters mysterious goings on and disturbing dreams seemingly to do with Lord Byron. I thouroughly enjoyed this, it was a very well written ghost story, very creepy at certain points, and the use of Byron provided an interesting angle. It's not just a straight horror novel, there is romance and coming of age, so it's well rounded. I would recommend this to those who are fans of classic English ghost stories but would like to read something modern.
“A thrilling read!”

A haunting and thrilling read, I literally sat down with the book at 7pm and finished at 4am! A real page turner, I could hardly bare to put it down - never have I gone so long without a cup of tea. I would certainly recommend it to anyone with a penchant for ghost stories and Lord Byron.
