Reviews: Think Again (34)
“A must read for this year!!”
(Hardback)
I absolutely loved this book!
Stepping back into the world of Jacqueline Wilson was amazing as someone who used to just read her books, and read every single one it's so exciting to read a new book for adults.
I loved seeing the girls older and how they have grown as people from teenagers and it felt so nostalgic although it is an adult novel it still had the same magic as the teen and children's books I read when I was younger. Would highly recommend!
“Amazing”

I absolutely loved this book! It brought me right back to my childhood and reminded me of the amazing Jacqueline Wilson books that made me fall in love with reading when I was younger. A lovely heart warming story with everything you would expect from a Jacqueline Wilson book
“Everything you’d hope for!”
(Hardback)
Like so many others I grew up reading all of Jaqueline Wilson’s books and was so excited to hear about Think Again! Reading it felt like catching up with old friends. Her usual brilliant and unique style of developing interesting characters while addressing sensitive issues felt nostalgic; while entertaining to catch back up with old characters including Russell! Could equally be enjoyed by teens/adults new to Jaqueline Wilson.
Hope this becomes a series as I’m desperate to know what happens next!
“An Emotional Nostalgic Trip Back in Time”
(Hardback)
As I was growing up I had trouble reading. My nan taught me to read, and when I finally started to get more and more confident, she would buy me Jacqueline Wilson books as a reward.
This book reminded me of how important and familiar Wilson's voice was to me in those early days, and just how she shaped my younger and teenage years. I was hit by a huge wave of emotions last night when i was reading, some was nostalgia at the memories it brought back, but most was thankfulness that I've had the opportunity to enjoy such a fantastic author over the last 30 years!
Readers beware! This book will bring back memories. This book will make you remember all the good and the trouble of teenage love. You may end up crying like i did with raw emotion, but rest assured that this book will accompany you into the next stage of your life and be that comforting voice you loved when you were younger.
Ps. The Lottie Project was my favorite
“Everything my inner-child needed and more!”
(Hardback)
I was a huge fan of the Girls series when I was a teenager. I read and re-read those books so many times that the characters felt like old friends. This novel is truly a gift from Jacqueline to the fans as we finally get answers to the questions we all had about the fates of Ellie, Magda and Nadine. The novel starts on Ellie's 40th birthday and we see her struggling with life not looking exactly how she imagined. She is a single mum to a 19 year old daughter, her job isn't working out and she is lonely. She still has her two best friends but life gets in the way and they have their own commitments. Ellie is searching for inspiration while trying to juggle the different areas of her life. She has adult responsibilities but is trying hard to not allow herself to be defined by motherhood, her job or her family duties.
I was absolutely giddy reading this and couldn't stop giggling throughout. There were numerous easter-egg nods to her previous novels that made me so happy. I adored being back with such familiar characters and seeing which ones cropped up later in her life! One character development I enjoyed in particular, and identified with, was that 13 year old Ellie spent so much time worrying about how boys felt about her. As a 40 year old she gets to ask herself the more important question of how does she actually feel about them! I loved seeing Ellie knowing her worth and taking leaps of faith with her artistic career.
This book was just so relatable and endearing. I can't wait for everyone to read it so I can finally talk in detail about it!
Huge thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
