“A brilliant & intricate crime thriller”
(Paperback)
This is another in the Eddie Flynn thriller series, although it can be read as a standalone. This time Eddie is defending the actor Bobby Solomon. Bobby is charged with killing his wife, Ariella, & his chief of security, Carl Tozer. The evidence against him appears to be overwhelming. Eddie was not the original lead defence attorney; that was to have been Rudy Carp. However, when the film studio, who Bobby was contracted to, withdrew funding Rudy stepped aside. Eddie believes Bobby is innocent; he just has to prove it in court. The cards are stacked against them from the start. A serial killer is not only roaming free but they are sitting on the jury. Once again, Eddie must use all his skills to save Bobby from a lifetime in prison. This plot, the killer on the jury, makes for a thriller which is ingenious, brilliant & intricate. Get reading!
“I don’t want this series to end!”
(Paperback)
What am I going to do when I finish this series? It just gets better and better.I love everything about Steve Cavanagh’s Eddie Flynn series. The reoccurring characters are flawed but likeable. There is always a few twists and turns and even if I have pre empted one, another is just around the corner.I’m trying to read them slowly as I know he only has so many in the back catalogue.
“Such a page turner”
(Paperback)
4.5 stars
Another strong book in the Eddie Flynn series. Loved the premise, it is such a page turner. I enjoyed the multiple POV as it really added to the tension. Even though I worked out some things, there were plenty of surprises in there - you're given the evidence alongside Eddie, so I felt like part of his defence team. Very clever. I like reading them in order as you get a bit more of the history to the characters, but they also really work standalone. Though once you read one you won't want to stop!
“Well written”
(Paperback)
A clever plot, well written. It is not a typical courtroom scenario. A lot of twists and turns.
A young lawyer takes on a seasoned campaigner, really with no hope of winning but tries anyway.
I enjoyed it very much
