Out of the blue, Laura gets a blast from the past when she receives a call from a Mrs Partridge. Laura had bullied the woman's daughter -~ Heddy. Heddy now in a psychiatric ward and her Mother wants Laura's help to get her home. This is a fantasic page turning read and one that may make the reader consider the consequences of our past actions. I really enjoyed this book, and will be looking for more by Suzanne Bugler ....

Very hard to put down......had to keep reading!

i loved this story of laura being a bit of a bully towards a girl heddy when laura was a young girl. I love the twist in the way that laura's past being a bully comes back with consequences. This book is page turner, must read book. I disagree that its for 30 year olds to read this book . I am in my fourties and just loved every minute of this book. I have gave this perfect world 5 stars because i loved it so much and it made me keep on wanting to read on .I have never read a book by suzanne bugler before and i certainly would buy another book of suzanne's if the story plot is good. At the back of This Perfect World book is a chapter on suzanne's new book The Child Inside.

I read this book quickly as it is a really good story line. There are some really interesting undercurrents around what is or isn't important in life, and a central character who responds in interesting ways! If you want a good plot that might also make you think a bit, this could be it.

Bought as a light read, which it is but it does have meaning, it shows two different worlds in suburban England. One being the socially deprived Partridge family and the other being the cosy but fragile circle of Laura's friends and family. There is a conclusion but also it has left some open ends, I would like to know where Laure goes from here. Does her marriage survive ? Does she use her education and strive for a sound work / like balance ?. It is clear that she is able and caring enough to contribute positively to life. Or will she be todays version of her mother who do not wish to know about unethical / dodubious deals which could adversely affect her life style.
