“A brilliant, must read book”
(Paperback)
by Anne Mosedale
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC. I am really enjoying this series of books. This was a superb follow on from Isolated. A woman is found wandering in the road who was abducted 13 years before. Who took her and where has she been kept? This is such a well written book that had me hooked from beginning to end. Emma Hunter becomes involved with the police investigation whilst continuing to search for answers to her sisters abduction some years before. There are so many twists and turns here, where all is not as it seems with some great reveals as the book progresses. For me, this series is a must read and gets better with each book. Really looking forward to the next one.
“Great read!”

A young woman collapses at the door of the A & E department. She is in a sorry state & very confused. It transpires that she is the daughter of a French diplomat. She went missing from a South coast beach many years ago. Her father insists on the presence of Emma Hunter, an author renowned for her books on investigating missing children. Emma's sister Anna, went missing a long time ago. Her face appeared in a video found on a convicted child abuser's possession. Could this woman have gone through a similar nightmare? In spite of the police detective's obvious dislike of her, Auralie's father continues to insist Emma is part of the investigation. This story is told from the Now & Then perspectives, something the author has used to great effect in the previous books in the series. Auralie's story was particularly hard for Emma as it might give clues to Anna's fate. This is a great series of books that needs to be read in order to get the best out of them. I am enjoying the breadcrumbs that author leaves & the development of the characters is another plus point. I'm already looking forward to the next one in the series. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.
“Absorbing story”
(Paperback)

Another in this series of sexual abuse and trafficking of children. Tre detail is amazing and however he manages to put it into words I will never know. When you are reading you visualise what it happening , it must be even more difficult to put it into words. This story is as good as the previous two and is unputdownable. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and getting closure.
“This series just gets better and better!”

I’d like to thank HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Trafficked’, the third in the Missing Children Case Files series written by M A Hunter, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Emma Hunter, investigative journalist and author of ‘Monsters Under The Bed’, is approached by Remy Lebrun asking her to write about his daughter Aurelie who’s just escaped from the man who abducted her from a beach in Worthing thirteen years ago. Emma is working as a civilian liaison with PC Jack Serrovitz in an attempt to identify the girls found on a hard drive belonging to Arthur Turgood who’s in prison for the abuse of boys at St Francis Home, and hopes that in speaking to Aurelie she may be able to discover what happened to her sister Anna who went missing twenty years ago. Having read the two previous books in The Missing Children Case Files series I’ve been looking forward to reading ‘Trafficked’ and can honestly say that this series just gets better and better. I’ve been enthralled from the beginning with its well-thought-out and exciting plot made even more realistic for me as it’s based in Weymouth and Poole, an area I live near and know very well. As Emma delves deeper into Aurelie’s story it becomes even more intriguing as it touches on Stockholm Syndrome and the relationship of captives with their captors. The last few chapters are full of suspense, drama and revelations, and the conclusion not at all what I was expecting. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading more of Emma, her friend Rachel, and would-be boyfriend Jack, and am delighted that the series doesn’t end here.
