Amy’s reappearance triggers remembrances of his past with his family in their family home and memories of childhood. This novel is about how the past influences, dictates and shapes our lives but when the right time comes we know the best thing to do is stop living in the past and start creating our own future and memories. The timeless understated elegance of Norris’s writing produces a wonderfully told story of heartbreak and hope, ultimately finding the best route to happiness. I absolutely loved it
