I have read all the DI Lorimer books and the latest one did not disappoint. I think he is my favourite detective and I like the way Alex Gray intertwines his personal relationships with his job. The only downside is now that I have read it I will have to wait until the next one!

This is the latest novel in the Detective Superintendent William Lorimer series and is set in and around Glasgow. Lorimer is shocked when a former colleague is shot at his home. When two other victims, both ex-police are shot, Lorimer and his team race to find a killer who is targeting policemen, but who is next on the list ? Another great read from Alex Gray.

First book I read in this series and I'm more than happy I discovered it because it was a great read. The plot, the cast of characters and the solid mystery kept me hooked till the end turning pages as fast as I could. I love the storytelling and I found this story gripping and entertaining, with the right ingredients to make it an excellent novel. Highly recommended. First Alex Gray novel chosen by me and I am glad I picked it as it was good read. The plot was was very clever and kept you going although I don't know whether I felt slightly relieved or let down at the end.
