Reviews: Wild Creature Mind (1)
“For anyone who wants to find themselves amidst the chaos.”
(Paperback)
This is a great book. Biddulph's desire to guide and support people, and society, leaps off the page and you can't help but feel appreciative of his efforts.
As Biddulph states was part of his aim, it's easy and enjoyable ro read.
In 'Wild Creature Mind' Biddulph discusses the two sides of the human mind and how ensuring they communicate well makes a vast difference to a person's quality of life. Ignoring our wild creature mind leaves us vulnerable and lost, often swamped by unresolved issues, and denied natural and useful ways to heal from experiences that might not have been the best. It also discusses how living as a whole can bring a much more fully realised and lived experience of life. No more feeling like time is rushing past!
So many of us are facing emotional and mental difficulties while we try to navigate modern society. This book provides actionable ways to understand ourselves better and the best part, for me, is that you don't have to take drastic action. You don't have to change your whole lifestyle or run off to the mountains. The exercises to explore this way of being are easy to do and require no special equipment.
I'd recommend this book to everyone, simply because we're all human, so doesn't it make sense to know how we work?
