I love this series and this title is no exception! Heller depicts the workplace as a place of utterly incomprehensible relationships, hierarchies, and mundane tasks. It's perfectly toned and pitched with wit and observation. Bob Slocum's 'projects' of creating charts of his colleagues surnames is comedic and yet intelligent. With him, we navigate board rooms, usurpers, unsavoury characters, workplace romances and a myriad of everyday experiences within the corporate machine. This makes you think, too. Who are we serving when we work - ourselves? our bosses? our colleagues? or a larger, faceless, corporate machine? Why and What for? This doesn't answer those questions, but it raises them in a wonderful way.
