When I saw that this book was a "Best in Show meets You’ve Got Mail" rivals-to-lovers romcom I immediately wanted to read it. I'm not sure what it is about the "You've Got Mail" trope but it gets me every time. I was so afraid when I first started this book because Leo's attitude was a complete turn off but luckily it doesn't last very long and Leo and Cora start to get along pretty well once he is enlisted to help her with driving and dog training. I did not like the "my parents told me to so I have to" storyline since both of these characters are full grown adults but again, it doesn't last too long luckily. The dogs are adorable, grandpa Harvey is wonderful and the small town setting was perfect for this novel. It was a bit of a slow burn but it felt genuine once they finally confessed their feelings for one another. This one is a Hallmark movie just waiting to be made.
