I got the book in order to study yeast, practical applications and to better understand how yeast biology works. I got all of these things and more from this book! While at times the content went over my head and I had to refer to other sources the book broadly speaking frames your approaches by giving various perspectives and lines of inquiry. I really like this book and it will be a good point of reference for the future, particularly because of its detail on how to treat yeast and extract maximum 'effort' from them while maintaining longevity in industrial contexts.
