Reviews: Your Every Move (12)
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
(Paperback)
Thankfully, neither I nor any of my close friends have ever been subjected to stalking but I’m very aware that this is something that around 1 in 5 women in the UK will experience during their lifetime. I also remember living through the time when Suzy Lamplugh disappeared, watching the news day after day hoping for updates. Because of that, reading a story about a woman being stalked while working as an estate agent made it feel especially real and unsettling.
“Your Every Move” is an engrossing and unsettling story following Irish estate agent Rosie Kinsella, newly relocated to London and working in the world of high-end property sales. Finding herself a victim of a stalker calling himself Michael, she turns it to her advantage, using the situation to boost her already popular Instagram profile. As the comments pour in and media requests for interviews grow, she begins to realise that stalking is far from rare and far more dangerous than she ever imagined. Deciding to continue to bait Michael in the hope to draw him out, could Rosie be putting herself in more danger, and who can she really trust?
I wasn’t fully convinced by the logic Rosie arrives at in identifying Michael. Without spoiling anything, the reasoning felt a little narrow, as it was something I could have quite easily have said. However, I did really love this story - its impact deepened by the author’s note, which delivers a real heart-pounding punch (read after you’ve finished the book not before!)
I do highly recommend “Your Every Move” - kudos to Sam Blake for creating such a powerful and poignant read!

“What a good reD!”
(Paperback)
This is a fascinating, exciting, and thrilling story of stalking, friendship and betrayal. Beautifully written, and full of tension. Highly recommended, and something every woman should read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity.
“Excellent book!”
(Paperback)
What an excellent book! If I hadn’t had early meetings and had to go to bed, I’d have finished it in one sitting rather than two. Absolutely brilliant.
Unfortunately, I had two situations of stalking in my life, and I think because of that I really wanted to finish the book to see the justice.
The side story was a nice addition. But I really liked how the book was structured and how it ended. For a moment it really made me wonder if the story was real or made up!
I love that the book was published on the 40th anniversary of
Suzy Lamplugh’s disappearance. It made me sad to do a bit of research and fin out that the man who most likely kidnapped and killed her, never revealed where her body lies, and now he’s dead, the family won’t find peace. I hope that everyone who reads the book, and Suzy’s story will become a bit more careful and sensitive to the stalking topics.

“To be a stalker or not to be a stalker”
(Paperback)
Rosie loves her life in London. She sells high value houses and is really good at it. When she started the job fresh from doing a similar role in Paris, the office hierarchy was shuffled around to accommodate her and Grace, who is also Irish, was promoted into a concierge type role to bring in even more income to the agency. What the workers don't know is that their boss Yaraslava, is using the agency for her own means.
When Rosie announces that she has acquired a stalker, everyone is shocked and they all rally around to ensure her safety as the stalker seems to know personal details about her. "Michael" even sends her pictures of her front door. Rosie reports it to the police and one of her colleagues, Nick, says that he will ask a friend to track down where the emails are coming from.
The morning Nick calls her and says that he has news for her, he is attacked brutally.
In the wake of this, Yaraslava and the owner, Sebastian send Rosie with Grace to a remote house in Cornwall to hide out away from her stalker. Rosie meets Jago, a guy she follows on Insta and has been private messaging for a while and events escalate.
A gripping book which starts slowly and steamrolls to the end.
I couldn't put it down.

“incredible twists that really kept me on my toes!”
(Paperback)
Rosie has recently moved from Paris to London and this Irish girl is loving her new life as a sales agent at an exclusive London property agent. However, there's a dark side to Rosie's tale as she has an stalker and is now in fear of her life. Blake has an unerring skill for bringing the emotions and scenarios faced by her characters to life. She makes them relatable and this pulls the reader in the storyline from the opening page. And that's not even mentioning the incredible twists that really kept me on my toes!
