REFUGE

Ian Sutherland is glad to help when brother and sister Enzo
and Rita Hasani are forced from their Kosovan homeland and end up in North
Yorkshire where they claim asylum. But not all refugees are hardworking
entrepreneurs. Some are criminals looking to exploit their hosts.

Ian soon finds himself at odds with Spartak, a paramilitary
leader from the Kosovan Liberation Army, and facing old adversaries from his
past.

Someone is manipulating things in the background. Could it
be MI6 spymaster, Simon Black?

Against a backdrop of tobacco smuggling and money
laundering, Ian takes on Kosovan thugs, a warlord and his nemesis seeking
revenge. But others want revenge too while GCHQ and an ex-SAS operative try to
level the playing field.

And somewhere in all this is Inga with her ice blonde hair
and alternative sense of fashion. But does anyone know who she really is?

For Enzo and Rita, the UK is their refuge, but can a coat be
a refuge? Or even make-up? Everyone is trying to leave the past behind them and
find a place of safety. It is what they do when they get there that counts.
